Long Vieillissement
Behind these two letters lie the treasures that have been preserved by the House of Philipponnat since the last century. Like a wax seal, they are a hallmark of authenticity for those who love old and rare Champagnes.

A Confidential Tribute to Time
Each year, if the vintage has been produced, which is always the case for Clos des Goisses, the House offers recent disgorgings of its vintage cuvées (Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, 1522) twenty years after their harvest, stretching to twenty-five years for Clos des Goisses.
Available in very limited quantities of just a few hundred bottles per vintage and per cuvée, each L.V. is disgorged six to nine months before being released onto the market.

Eternal Youth
L.V. is the authentic mark of optimal ageing. These wines have never been moved since they were placed in the cellar. They have been preserved for twenty to twenty-five years in optimum conditions deep in the House’s cellars. Having been disgorged only at the end of this long ageing process following prolonged contact with the lees from the second in-bottle fermentation, the wines have evolved under what are known as reductive conditions, protected from any oxidation.
Their low, extra-brut dosage reveals the particular personality achieved by each vintage as it matures.
